Dratin: One of ten frightening gaurds , always carries a sword, unintelligent

Nerlu: Zides 30 year brother, Zide never sees him, in the army

retine: Zed and zeppy's cusin, private in war.

sagon: Zed's friend who is a girl, very smart

fery: Zeppy's black wild horse, Paint

Greth: Zed's brown stallion, loves Zed only

Faith: Sagon's beautiful mare, (unknown kind of horse)
